Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains how FloorMate uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kit (SDK) identifiers used in mobile or web apps. In this policy, “cookies” covers those similar technologies where relevant.
2. Who this applies to
This Cookie Policy applies to FloorMate properties such as floormate.online and the FloorMate application experiences we operate. For how we process personal data more broadly, see the Privacy Policy.
3. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep the site and app secure and working correctly
- Remember signed-in sessions and basic preferences
- Understand reliability and basic usage needed to operate the Service
- Load certain third-party resources required for the interface (for example web fonts)
We do not use cookies on FloorMate marketing pages to run third-party behavioural advertising networks. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, seek appropriate consent.
4. Types of cookies we may use
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required for core functions such as page navigation, security, load balancing, fraud prevention, and keeping you signed in. The Service may not work properly without these.
4.2 Functional / preference
Remember choices such as UI preferences or previously selected options so the experience is more consistent across visits.
4.3 Performance / analytics (if enabled)
Help us understand how pages or features are used (for example which pages load, error rates, or approximate traffic). When analytics is enabled on the marketing site, FloorMate may use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland / Google LLC) with IP anonymisation. Those cookies are optional for browsing the site; you can block them via browser settings. If GA4 is not configured for a given environment, these cookies will not be present.
4.4 Authentication and app storage
The FloorMate app may store session tokens, device notification endpoints, or similar items in cookies or local storage so you remain signed in and can receive service alerts you have enabled.
5. Third-party cookies and resources
Some cookies or similar processing may come from third parties that support FloorMate, for example:
- Hosting and security infrastructure — may set cookies needed to deliver pages safely
- Identity providers (such as Firebase Authentication) — may use storage or cookies as part of sign-in flows
- Font or content delivery networks (such as Google Fonts) — your browser may request fonts from third-party servers, which can receive technical data like IP address
- Messaging or payment providers — only when those features are used, and according to their own policies
We do not control every cookie set by third-party sites you visit after leaving FloorMate. Check those sites’ policies separately.
6. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Typical options include:
- Blocking all or third-party cookies
- Deleting existing cookies
- Receiving a prompt before a cookie is stored
If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of FloorMate (including sign-in) may stop working. Device-level settings also control app notifications and some local storage.
Browser help pages (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and others) explain how to manage cookies on your device.
7. Do Not Track
There is no single industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We treat cookie choices through the controls described above and through any in-product consent tools we may add later.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices or providers change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly. Significant changes may also be noted on the website or in the app.
